This policy applies to Corrin Real Estate ("Corrin", "we", "us"), an independent real estate agency operating in Gladstone, Queensland, and to this website and the Corrin client portal. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We collect the personal information you give us and the information we need to provide our services. This can include:

• Your name, email address and phone number.
• Property details you share with us, such as an address for a sale, a rental or an appraisal.
• Any message or enquiry you send through our forms.
• For clients using the portal: account details, documents you upload, and records of your transaction as it progresses.
• Basic technical information your browser sends, such as your device type and IP address, used to keep the site secure and working.

You do not have to give us your personal information, but if you do not, we may not be able to help you with a sale, a purchase or an appraisal.

We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form, request an appraisal, contact us, or use the client portal. In some cases we receive it from a third party you have dealt with, such as a solicitor or another party to a transaction, where it is reasonable and lawful for us to do so.

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and provide the service you asked for.
• Prepare appraisals, manage listings, and run a transaction from first contact to settlement.
• Keep you updated on your matter through the client portal and by email or phone.
• Meet our legal and professional obligations as a real estate agency.
• Keep our systems secure and improve how the site and portal work.

If you are a Corrin client, the portal holds the records of your transaction so you and our team can work from the same place. Access is controlled by your login, and what you can see is limited to your own matter. You are responsible for keeping your login details private.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to provide our services or to meet a legal obligation, including with:

• The trusted providers that host our website, database and email so the service can run.
• Cinova, the technology provider that builds and maintains the Corrin platform, where access is needed for support and security.
• Other parties to your transaction where relevant, such as solicitors, where you would expect us to.
• Government bodies, regulators or courts where the law requires it.

Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems. Some of these systems process or back up data on servers located outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with protections consistent with this policy.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, which for property transactions can be several years. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove identifying details.

Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar tools to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge to make a request, though a reasonable cost may apply in some cases for providing access.
